David Morrissey’s the Governor character in ‘The Walking Dead’ may be dead on-screen, but we all know that doesn’t mean he’s completely gone from the universe.
With a series of TV movies set to look into the storylines that the show can’t dig into, perhaps a Governor film could be on the horizon. In a recent interview with RCN TV, Morrissey said that he’d be open to bringing The Governor back to life (via Bloody Elbow):
“I love the world. I love the genre. I love the character,” Morrissey said. “So if the powers that be deemed it right to do it, I would love to. Sometimes you walk away from a job, you think, ‘I’m finished with that character.’
“Whereas the Governor, I don’t feel that. I think there’s a lot more to mine, really. I’d love to go back in any capacity,” he added.
