As the world has begun preparing for self-isolation, it’s times like these that we all need a little humor in our lives, and thankfully, Netflix is guaranteeing that when they add Killer Klowns From Outer Space to their lineup next week.
The horror-comedy will be available to watch on the streaming platform from April 1, and despite the obvious date, this isn’t an early April Fool’s Day prank.
A small town is invaded and terrorized by aliens as they begin hunting down, capturing, and killing the townsfolk. But due to their painted-on smiles, childish-looking guns, and clown-like appearance, nobody takes them seriously. Only a handful of young residents realize the danger, and alone, they must stop the onslaught before the town falls victim to the otherworldly intruders.
Despite its bad reviews from various critics, Killer Klowns From Outer Space shouldn’t be taken too seriously, as the movie invites you to sit back, get comfy, and enjoy the hilarious events that unfold.
If you are yet to watch this timeless classic, we highly recommend it for you horror lovers who need an uplift during this uncertainty surrounding the world right now. It’s bizarre nature and weird characters are sure to put a smile on your face.
Grant Cramer (as Mike Tobacco), Suzanne Snyder (as Debbie Stone), John Allen Nelson (as Dave Hansen), John Vernon (as Curtis Mooney), Michael S. Siegel (as Rich Terenzi), Peter Licassi (as Paul Terenzi), Royal Dano (as Farmer Gene Green), Christopher Titus (as Bob McReed), and many more all had roles in the 1988 horror.
If you just can’t wait until April 1 and have to get your fix of Killer Klowns From Outer Space, the movie is available to stream on Tubi, ‘the largest free movie and TV streaming service in the US’. Unfortunately, it is unavailable to Europe so fans have to wait until Netflix picks up the comedy film.
