He directed Netflix’s hit documentary series “Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.” Berlinger also directed the film ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’, which takes a look at the Bundy murders from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, who initially refused to believe the truth of his murderous ways for years.

Zac Efron stars as the twisted villain. Now, according to a report from Deadline, Netflix has also acquired the U.S. rights “and some foreign” for the film, along with “an awards season theatrical run planned.” ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’ was released at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival on January 26th.
