Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch bring Stephen King’s ‘Pet Sematary’ to life on April 5, 2019.
Jason Clarke, who plays Louis Creed, spoke to Total Film recently and shared two new images from the film (see below). He also talked about reading King’s novel when he was in his twenties: (via Games Radar)
“I read [the novel] in my early twenties,” Clarke said. “Nobody does it better than King. The descriptions of what’s going on are just too much at times – you have to put the book down. I was really fucking disturbed.”
Twins Hugo and Lucas Lavoie will both play Gage Creed. Jeté Laurence plays Ellie Creed, with Jason Clarke and Amy Seimetz playing Louis and Rachel Creed. John Lithgow will play Jud Crandall. Obssa Ahmed and Alyssa Brooke Levine play Victor Pascow and Zelda. Check out a brief synopsis here:
“Based on the novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed, who, after relocating with his wife Rachel and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home.
“When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall, setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”
