Mother’s Circus Animal Cookies Now Come In A Halloween Variety

0

While Halloween may not go exactly how we planned when it arrives later this year, one thing for sure is that the candy will be just as good as ever.

We recently reported on multiple candy’s, new and old, set for release this Halloween, and accompanying Hershey’s Vampire Kisses and Reese’s Franken-Cup’s is the debut of Mother’s new Halloween variety of cookies.

Mother’s Halloween Circus Animal Cookies now come colored in white and orange to support the haunted holiday, with the animals shaped like spooky cats and sinister bats instead of their traditional shapes.

Mother’s Halloween Circus Animal Cookies are available on Dollar General’s official website – see it HERE! – which you can buy for $2.75 per 11 oz. bag.

However, the cookies are not exclusive to Dollar General as BevMo! – a liquor store located in California, Washington, and Arizona – has the treats listed on their website too, HERE!

While we are quite obviously excited about the cookies, there’s no current evidence to confirm the flavor of the orange and white snacks, meaning they could have their own special taste, or be the exact same as the original.

Over 10-years ago, Mother’s had released a range of Halloween cookies similar to their new batch, with the only real difference being the orange and white frosted treats were shaped as regular circus animals.

Although we were impatiently waiting for Halloween already, the addition of more candy just makes us want the best day of the year here as soon as possible!

If, like me, you’re obsessed with Halloween candy, go over and check out the return of Kit Kat’s Pumpkin Pie flavor, HERE!

Another Kit Kat flavor that could go down well with fans is their new Witch’s Brew which is said to taste like marshmallows – check it out HERE!

The Most Unique Day In Decades Falls On Halloween 2020!

While we may not be getting a traditional Halloween this year, that won’t stop us from improvising and turning a bad situation good before the spooky holiday is upon us.

Despite the fact we may not be able to enjoy big Halloween traditions such as trick-or-treating, massive parties and family gatherings, or anything that goes against social distancing rules, that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy the best time of the year.

Alongside our mini celebrations, where we’ll be watching creepy movies and stuffing our faces with junk food, Halloween will be accompanied by the glow of a blue moon, which will be present for the first time in decades.

Blue moon taking place on October 31, 2020

What is seen as a very rare occurrence, a blue moon is the second full moon in a single month. Usually, full moons almost occur every 29 days, and October will have two – one on October 1, and one on October 31.

But that’s not all, as Halloween 2020 looks set to be one of the most unique days of all time!

Alongside the blue moon, which will also serve as the first full moon on Halloween in 19 years – and won’t occur for another 19 years – we’ll see the beginning of daylight savings time (clocks are pushed back one hour).

Another significant occurrence is the feature of a hunter’s moon, also known as a blood moon when Halloween 2020 rolls around later this year.

Check out the list of events that’ll take place during Halloween this year.

Although this is, of course, a fantastic coincidence – and it takes place on the best day of the year – we can’t help but stress at the fact this incredibly unique day drops in the torturous year of 2020.

Have you stocked up on your decorations for Halloween this year? Go and check out Target’s Hyde & Eek! Boutique, HERE!

This Great White Shark Obviously Want To Be Michael Jordan

0

If Jaws taught us anything, it’s that sharks are terrifying creatures. This is especially true of Great White Sharks. One of the largest types of the species in the ocean, they can rip people limb from limb as soon as they get their jaws wrapped around them. The good news, however, is that they are restricted to the ocean.

This means that most people can go throughout their lives without ever coming across the shark. The same can also be said when people are on boats; while people may be able to see them from a relative distance, they are not going to get up close and personal. As true as that may be, it looks as though some people may not be as safe as they would have thought.

Great White Sharks have been known to have some serious jumping power. As a result, they’ve been able to reach a few feet above the water, although this is relatively rare. This shouldn’t be too high of a distance above the sea level. However, one particular shark didn’t seem to get the memo, as it managed to jump 15-feet from the water.

A picture was captured by Chris Fallows in South Africa’s Seal Island, the waters of which are known to host dozens of sharks, depending on the time of year.

In an interview, Fallows notes that this must be one of the larger jumps that a shark has ever made. He also highlights how lucky he was to be there when the shark jumped out of the water.

Fallows, a shark expert, was in the area as part of the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, which highlights different shark species every year. He submitted the images, which you can see above, to the show, and won a contest because of it. Naturally, the photos are amazing. To paraphrase a wise man, however, it looks as though people are going to need bigger boats.

Netflix Purchases Movie Rights To R.L. Stine’s Fear Street Trilogy

6

R.L. Stine’s Fear Street trilogy has a special place in many people’s hearts. For some, it served as their introduction to the horror genre. Others appreciate how well-written it is, while everyone enjoys the characterization and overall plot. Naturally, this led to a movie adaption of the critically acclaimed trilogy being announced.

However, since this initial announcement, there was very little information made public. What was known is Leigh Janiak was working with Chernin Entertainment to direct the film trilogy for Fox/Disney. The original unveiling of the trilogy also highlighted the main cast members, though little else was announced. However, recent events have given fans a bit of a swerve ball.

Fear Street Film Trilogy

As per reports, the rights to the movies have been purchased by Netflix. Alongside this, it’s being reported that the three Fear Street movies will be released in Summer 2021. This would mean that the films would each make their debuts about a month after its predecessor. However, an exact release date for any of them is yet to be unveiled.

Reports also highlight that there haven’t been any changes to the cast, who had already been announced. The main cast is comprised of Gillian Jacobs, Sadie Sink, Kiana Madeira, McCabe Slye, Fred Hechinger, Julia Rehwald, Benjamin Flores Jr., Ashley Zukerman, Emily Rudd, Darrell Britt-Gibson and Jeremy Ford.

R.L. Stine is perhaps most famous for his Goosebumps books. That series has been adapted into films and television shows on several occasions while also becoming a cultural icon. Released later in his career, the books became Stine’s calling card, with the series still being well-read years after being released.

The Fear Street trilogy was released before Goosebumps, though it was quickly overshadowed by its success. The movie adaptions of the trilogy will debut on Netflix in Summer 2021, though exact release dates currently remain unclear.

Beluga Whale Pair Successfully Transported To New Iceland Sanctuary

0

When you think about things that are hard to transport internationally, two beluga whales is probably pretty high up on that list. But UK based organization Sea Life Trust who operate a Beluga whale sanctuary in Iceland has done just that. The whales who are aptly named Little Grey and Little White successfully completed their trip from Shanghai Sea World to Klettsvik Bay in Iceland and will be allowed to roam in open waters for the first time since 2011 when they were part of a Russian whale research center.

In an announcement made last Sunday, the head of Sea Life Trust Andy Bool said that everyone involved was “absolutely delighted to be able to share the news that Little Grey and Little White are safely in their sea sanctuary care pools” and that the two were “one step away from being released into their wider open water home.”.

Bool goes on to say that every part of the first phase for getting the pair located in their new open water habitat had gone smoothly.

Little Grey and Little White will be the first residents at the newly finished sanctuary which measures in at a whopping 32,000m². Here they will have access to round the clock care and attention whilst also being able to roam relatively freely.

Usually found in Arctic and Sub-Arctic waters, Beluga whales are also often referred to as ‘sea canaries’ due to the way in which that they are the most vocal of all whale species. Even though they are currently listed as ‘Least Concern’ on the endangerment index they do face threats from climate change, hunting, pollution, and oil and gas developments made on their territories.

Artist Transforms Classic Horror Villains Into Disney Princesses

1

From young a lot of us were introduced to Disney, and while they have a wide range of iconic characters that are each captivating in their own special way, most little girls (and some boys) were fascinated by Disney Princesses.

For the majority of us, Disney was passed down to the younger generation as we started to grow up and find new passions – one of them being horror.

Well now, for you Disney loving, horror fanatics, an artist has spent some time transforming your favorite classic horror villains into Disney Princesses and they are hauntingly mesmerizing.

You’re now able to see the artists – Andrew Tarusov – wonderful workings in the collection we’ve shared with you below.

1. Pocahontas as Carrie

The once bold and unbreakable Princess is now a blood-soaked psychopath.

2. Ariel as Pennywise

Ariel could easily attract people in with her soft voice and charm, before devouring them, of course.

3. Merida as Chucky

The resemblance is uncanny! The brave archer turned serial killer doll has to be one of Tarusov’s most creepy creations.

4. Tiana as Ghostface

Although you rarely see the killer behind the mask, Tiana seems as good as any Princess to don the Ghostface disguise.

5. Snow White as Billy The Puppet

Who else but Snow White to torture her victims through a variety of games and challenges? Though, we do agree that this is quite disturbing.

6. Belle as Hannibal Lecter

I have no idea why, but this one works well. The seemingly innocent Belle has to be restrained before she can spread her corruption.

7. Rapunzel as Sadako Yamamura (Girl From The Ring)

Terrifying. In an alternate world, Rapunzel could well be a ghostly woman trapped in a well.

8. Mulan as Jason

Don’t be fooled by her harmless persona, that’s how she gets you!

Here’s What Happens When Kittens Take On A Demonic Nun

1

There are quite a few things in life that are inherently terrifying. Nuns happen to be one such thing, thanks to their representation in some recent horror films. That being said, demonic ones aren’t the only ones that can be scary. In fact, some generations of people are terrified of the sister’s thanks to schooltime memories.

However, there are those of us that are somewhat scared of kittens and cats. While this might be an inherently ridiculous fear, it’s a fear nonetheless. As a result, when it comes to kittens taking on a demonic nun, there are some of us that don’t want to see the result. Or have anything to do with the process itself.

Despite this, YouTube channel Kittisaurus decided to make a humorous video dedicated to capturing what it would be like if this exact scenario happened. Needless to say, it might not be what many people may have anticipated. As it turns out, the demonic nun liked the kittens much more than many people may have thought.

Depending on your outlook, this could be one evil recognizing the evil of another. In this case, the kittens may be the more demonic presence. Although, that could be quite a biased perspective. The video has gained quite a significant amount of traction since it was uploaded.

In fact, it’s gained over 700,000 views in its first two days on YouTube. Obviously, many people seem to enjoy the morbid. Either that or they’re fans of the inherent silliness of the situation. The video itself pits a demonic nun against several kittens.

While it’s unclear how old the cats are, it’s clear that they’re still relatively young. The main indicator of this is that they’re still relatively uneasy on their feet. As a result, the nun seems to take a cautious and careful approach with them. You can check it out below.

Meet The Real-Life Creeper From Jeepers Creepers

1

Real-life events have inspired plenty of horror movie icons over the years. Some of the more notable films inspired by real people have included the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and even Nightmare on Elm Street. However, many people might be surprised to know that Jeepers Creepers was inspired by a real-life killer.

The main reason for this is that The Creeper, as he’s come to be known, is quite original. Though he has a demonic appearance and hibernates extensively, the horror villain cuts close to the bone when it comes to real-world terror. After all, many people have gotten quite nervous when decrepit vehicles try to violently overtake them on an isolated road.

However, the real-life inspiration for Jeepers Creepers may be a little surprising. This is where Michigan resident Dennis DePue comes in. In 1990, he was the subject of a police manhunt after his wife was found dead in an abandoned schoolhouse. According to reports, DePue had shot her in the back of the head after she filed for divorce.

Dennis DePue Creeper 2

This may ring familiar for some fans of the franchise, with the Creeper dumping his victims in an abandoned church. It would be two people who saw the killer dump the body that would wind up inspiring the film. The pair happened to be driving in the same car when they spotted DePue dumping the body.

The killer would subsequently follow the duo in a decrepit van for several miles. This is where the most obvious similarity to Jeepers Creepers lies. Fans of the franchise would recognize this as a retelling of the first film’s opening secrets. The only major difference is that the horror film’s killer is a monster that would subsequently go on to hunt the pair.

As a final touch, it appears as though the two eyewitnesses even played the same license plate game as the couple in the film.

One Of A Kind Kitten Doesn’t Let His Looks Get In The Way Of Love

0

Cat lovers of the world will tell you that cute and cuddly kittens come in all shapes and sizes, and that certainly goes for little Pinocchio who was born with an interesting abnormality. Alongside a prominent tiny snaggletooth, Pinocchio also has cranial issues that have twisted his face.

Pinocchio The Cat

Jacqueline Santiago of the Friends for Life Rescue Network said in an interview with The Dodo that even upon their first meeting, Pinocchio was loving and kind and “very, very sweet”.

The Friends for Life Rescue Network often look after animals that require special attention, but they weren’t quite prepared for Pinocchio’s character. “Pinocchio isn’t the shy type” Santiago goes on to say “He runs up to anyone who enters the room and climbs up to their shoulder to perch”.

And it’s not just people that Pinocchio gets along with, as he is also quickly becoming best friends with all of the other residents of the rescue who he loves to play with.

Aside from his misaligned jaw which means he can only eat wet food Pinocchio also, unfortunately, had a host of other medical issues when the rescue found him. Following a few procedures to fix an umbilical hernia and a misaligned sternum, however, Pinocchio was doing much better. The medical staff at the rescue even gave him his own Superman costume to show off his bravery.

Pinocchio The Cat

Pinocchio took to the surgeries well, but the rescue has recently stated that due to his ongoing medical analysis Pinocchio won’t be up for adoption anytime soon and that “Pino still has other planned medical procedures and likely won’t be adoptable until he’s closer to adulthood”. It does seem however that in his latest update Pinocchio seems to have switched allegiances.

As he still has a lot to go through to find his forever home, we are all wishing Pinocchio the very best.
