There have been several productions announced in which the tragic life of Sharon Tate will be portrayed.
One of the more interesting ones involves Hilary Duff playing the role of Tate. Tate was murdered by the Manson family in 1969. The 26-year-old was just two weeks away from giving birth to her first child. Tate has been portrayed in both films and television shows several times. She was played by Katie Cassidy in 2016’s ‘Wolves at the Door.’
Rachel Roberts portrayed Tate in the seventh season of ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ in 2017. Michael Polish will be directing a Screen Gems biopic on Tate, in which she will be played by Kate Bosworth. Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ project will be based on the Manson murders, with Margot Robbie playing Tate.
And now, Duff will be playing the role in Daniel Farrands’ ‘The Haunting Of Sharon Tate.’ Check out a preview of her performance in the following trailer for the film. It’s slated for an early 2019 release:
