As we’ve recently noted, the first trailer for MGM and Orion’s ‘Child’s Play’ remake will be dropping this week.
Orion Pictures has been teasing the trailer with some recent artwork. In the released picture, it looks like everyone’s favorite killing doll has received a new look. Take a look for yourself below:

The ‘Child’s Play’ remake is currently set for a summer 2019 release. Along with the release of tomorrow’s ‘The Prodigy’ (also from Orion), the ‘Child’s Play’ trailer will debut in theaters. However, fans will have to wait for Friday to see it online. Per IMBd, ‘Child’s Play’ follows as “a mother gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.”
Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio, and Brian Tyree Henry star in the film, with Lars Klevberg directing. The film revolves around Tyler Burton Smith’s screenplay, which is based on the original film. The film is produced by KatzSmith Productions, with executive producers Aaron Schmidt and Chris Ferguson.
Chucky creator Don Mancini is also planning on bringing a ‘Child’s Play’ TV series to Syfy soon.
