Leigh Whannell’s ‘The Invisible Man’ is one of the most highly-anticipated upcoming horror projects currently in the works.

Whannell is writing and directing the film, which is brought to us by Blumhouse and Universal. The film is a lower-budget one, but will be more character-driven and scary. Casting for the film is currently underway. It looks like Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) is circling the lead role, per a report from Variety.

Conversations are said to be in “the extremely early stages” of negotiations. Johnny Depp was previously expected to be part of the Dark Universe’s ‘The Invisible Man’ reboot before it folded. He’s not expected to be part of this version.
