
It was recently announced that Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ will be making its debut at SXSW on March 8th. As a result, the film’s release date has been pushed back. Initially, ‘Us’ was set to release on March 15th, but will now be hitting screens on March 22nd.
Monkeypaw Productions ‘Us’ is set in modern times along the Northern Californian coastline. The film stars Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o as Adelaide Wilson. In the film, Wilson returns to her childhood beach home alongside her husband, Gabe, who is played by ‘Black Panther’s’ Winston Duke. Their two children are played by Shahadi Wright Joseph and Evan Alex.
Adelaide can’t shake a feeling of uncertainty and uneasiness, as if something terrible is about to befall her family. After a tense beach day with their friends, the Tylers – played by Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Cali Sheldon, and Noelle Sheldon –
However, upon their return, they’re confronted by four figures in the darkness, who just so happen to be doppelgängers of themselves. Check out the trailer for the film here:
