What happens when one combines the most adorable creations in the world with the most notorious terrifying crime and horror icons? Well, you do not need to wonder anymore thanks to Kat Philbin, a California-based artist. Philbin uses his art to display some of horror’s most evil villains cuddling cats and the results are truly heartwarming.
Kat’s unique art showcases Pinhead, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Xenomorph and Ghostface. A lot of people see this as a depiction of a softer and more human side of these villains. The artist’s aim was to showcase that no matter how horrible a person is, they cannot and are not evil at all times. I mean, they probably need downtime in between slaying, murdering, looting and plundering, no?

Michael Myers can be seen nuzzled in the comfort and company of his feline companions. Pinhead is too busy sharing his puzzle box with his new friends. Leatherface’s lair shows his cats having fun with animal skulls lying around. Jason makes use of a cat as a pillow whilst hoisting another in the air, Simba-style, with his trusty machete by his side.
Freddy takes things to a new level by using the trademark glove as a great back scratcher for the cats. Lastly, Ghostface might have gone a tad too far and appears as if he might just consume this ball of furry adorableness.
