Producer James Gunn has a very interesting project currently in the works. The ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy‘ director is producing the super-villain origin story, ‘BrightBurn.’

The film is directed by David Yarovesky and stars Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games). Mark Gunn and Brian Gunn pen the script. ‘BrightBurn‘ has been described as the reverse to the concept of Superman.

Gunn had this to say about the project last year:

“About a year ago my brother Brian, my cousin Mark, director David Yarovesky, producer Simon Hatt and I started coming up with an idea for a horror film that excited me in a way nothing outside of Guardians has in years – it was personal, and different, and perfectly suited for our times. And, yes, terrifying.”
