There was so much hype going around D.J. Caruso’s take on Nickelodeon’s teen-friendly ’90s television series ‘Are You Afraid Of The Dark?’
Initially, the film was set to be released this October right in time for Halloween. However, per an update from the @BoxOffice Twitter page, the film is no longer slated for that release date. In fact, the film is currently without an official date of release:
“Are You Afraid of the Dark
‘IT’ writer Gary Dauberman pens the script, which he has said will “honor the darker, scarier tone of the show.” The show revolved around a group of teenagers who went by the name “The Midnight Society.” The group of teenagers met once a week in a secret location in the woods, and one member would tell the rest of the group a scary story.
The film will focus on an original story being told by The Midnight Society. No official description has been made available as of this writing.
