We finally have a title for the upcoming ‘Ghostbusters 3‘ film in 2020.
It has long been rumored that the title will, in fact, be ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife.’ However, the only report on the name came via an Italian news outlet, as Sony has yet to confirm anything as of this writing. It turns out, the news outlet might have been right all along. This week, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) confirmed ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife‘ as the name.
The BBFC noted that the first trailer will also be coming out soon, which is just under two-and-a-half minutes long. There’s no official date on when we can expect the trailer, however, it’s speculated that it will drop sometime next week. Original cast members Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson, and Dan Aykroyd, among others, will all be reprising their roles from the original films.
Also, new faces will be added to the franchise, such as Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Carrie Coon (Gone Girl), and McKenna Grace (Captain Marvel).
What do you make of the new Ghostbusters title?
