
The first trailer for MGM and Orion’s ‘Child’s Play’ remake will be dropping next week per a report from Trailer Track.
The film is currently set for a summer 2019 release. It appears that the trailer reveal is linked to this month’s release of ‘The Prodigy’, which hits theaters on Friday, February 8th. Per IMBd, the 2019 remake of ‘Child’s Play’ follows as “a mother gives her son a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.”
Cast members include Beatrice Kitsos, Ty Consiglio, and Brian Tyree Henry. Lars Klevberg will be directing the film, from Tyler Burton Smith’s screenplay based on the original film. The film is being produced by KatzSmith Productions, with executive producers Aaron Schmidt and Chris Ferguson.
The ‘Child’s Play’ franchise has been receiving a lot of love as of late. Original Chucky creator Don Mancini is bringing thce franchise a TV series to Syfy soon.
