Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer and poet, best known for his incredible poetry and short stories filled with mystery and macabre.
He has produced some fantastic work throughout the years, and because of this, he is regarded as the inventor of the detective fiction genre that we all love today and played a strong part in the uprising of science fiction.
The Tell-Tale Heart remains one of his greatest known works. To this day it is consistently used in high school classrooms after being published all the way back in 1843.
Its popularity is nothing short of phenomenal and to show her respect for the author, Jane of @fancifulcakes has created and designed a beating heart cake solely inspired and dedicated to Edgar Allan Poe.
The cake was made specifically for Valentine’s day and the eyecatching beating heart made out of Jello is powered by a pump.
Unfortunately, the sound in the video above is not directly from the cake, but it has a beauty to it that easily mesmerizes viewers.
If for some reason, you have never heard of Edgar Allan Poe, maybe some of his work will ring a bell. His brilliance in poetry and short story writing is what brought him fame in the United States and Europe. 1845s The Raven, 1843s The Tell-Tale Heart, 1841s The Murders in Rue Morgue, and 1839s The Fall of The House of Usher are just some of the great works the legend has produced.
If you are interested in the cake (of course you are who isn’t?) and want to see more, go over to Jane’s Instagram page HERE, where the baker has displayed some very unique cakes, including ones of Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, Harry Potter, Frozen characters for Disney lovers, and many more.
